International prize-winning double bassist Brett Shurtliffe is the Associate Principal
Bassist with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra in Buffalo NY. When not on stage
in historic Kleinhans Music Hall with the BPO, Brett is a passionate teacher of all ages
and as an active chamber musician Brett gives numerous performances a year in Buffalo
and around the country. His imaginative repertoire lands him anywhere from traditional recital halls to local night clubs where he plays a mix of established classics, contemporary avant garde, and traditional american and celtic folk music.
